Ljiljana Winkler (MA) is an internationally active, award-winning soprano, librettist and vocal music therapist. In addition to her concert activities, she teaches singing at the University of Augsburg and vocal music therapy in the master’s program in music therapy at the Leopold Mozart Center. Her scientific commitment is dedicated to the question of the impact of traumatic experiences on the qualities of the singing voice.

Soprano has a wide repertoire from early music to contemporary classical and jazz and is known for her versatile, expressive performance. With an impressive stage experience of opera and operetta engagements in renowned locations such as New York, San Diego, Berlin, at the Saarland State Theater and Theater National du Luxembourg, she has established herself as a sought-after singer for contemporary premieres and studio recordings. Her contemporary opera “Soubrette on the Toilet”, which lies at the border between classical and jazz, was premiered in New York and released as a digital album by the composer Concordance/Naxos USA.

Ljiljana Winkler has received numerous awards and scholarships. Her awards, including the Music Prize of the Märkische Kulturtreffen, reflect her “extraordinary vocal and musical talent”. Ljiljana Winkler combines art and research, with a focus on the impact of traumatic experiences on the singing voice, and presents her artistic diversity nationally and internationally. Her therapeutic singing pedagogical methods and her social commitment were recognized with the DAAD Prize from the University of Augsburg.
